Individual Session
As we develop through the lifecycle, our emotional memory has no concept of time and space. We will get triggered by life stressors and feel many emotions at the same time. Let me help you find healing in the here and now to address unwanted habits, relationships, anxiety, depression, or grief. We will explore childhood memories, possible trauma, current life choices and goals for your future. Depending on your special needs therapy will be sculpted to personalize what you need now to maximize the healing benefits.
Child and Adolesence
As a specialist in child development, learning disabilities and repairing attachment I have a special way of connecting with children and helping them feel safe. I have learned over the years that most children may not have the words to describe how they feel or why they behavior a certain way. This group will focus on building your child's self-esteem, social skills, anger management, anxiety depression or grief. Once we can increase their feelings vocabulary a child can communicate their needs more clearly with their primary caregivers, friends and teachers. This group helps normalize children's feelings when they realize other kids feel the same thing and they are not alone.
Stress Managment
Our lives can be very full with a variety of thoughts, feelings or outside stressors impacting how we feel in our bodies each day. Family dynamics and communication styles can influence our ability to manage stress. The ability to self-regulate ones emotions is passed down within the family by multigenerational patterns. Our stress level is impacted by our genetics, beliefs, cultural expectations, parenting styles and financial awareness. Our children model how their parents manage stress and navigate through life. This group focuses on playful ways to manage stressful situations.
Parent Support Group
Something amazing happens with group dynamics and when parents connect supporting each other through Telehealth. At first the group must build trust to feel safe sharing personal experience, struggles, strength and hope, while managing through the different stages of development with their children. Parents will learn useful tips to develop a loving and compassionate communication style with family members and learn about the importance of self-care, maintaining identity, stress management and all that occurs while raising children.

Empowerment after a Divorce
Divorce can be one of the most painful and challenging events in a person’s life and shift their entire psyche. It is important to understand the stages of grief related to the end of a marriage. Therapy allows facilitates a more gentle approach as a person tries to re-create their identity, family structure and future life goals. As the divorce rates continue to increase more and more people need to Let Go of the past and move forward in their future with support.
Grief for Children
No-one’s grief is exactly the same and children grieve differently then adults. Children may need 6 months after the death of a loved one to start showing emotional and behavioral changes at home or school. My goal when working with children who have lost a parent or caretaker is to create a loving, safe place where the stories and feelings comeout naturally through the art and sandtray play.
Children can process loss deeply from losing their faviortite teddy bear, grandparent or beloved animal friend. they can find hope and comfort through art, play, music, games, talking and listening. People grieving a loss often feel like no one understands what they’re going through. Yet sometimes the best comes from sharing with others who are also grieving the same loss.
Loss and Grief
When counseling grief there is no real time frame. Loss can be triggered by simple daily habits, or unresolved feelings around the relationship may arise. It is important to remember to be gentle with one's self as transitioning through the grief stages can impact each person differently.
Creating the feeling of a safe place by using creative, and integrative approaches can help build resilience at times of great emotional, physical, social, and spiritual challenges.
Grief is multi-faceted and can impact each family member differently depending on their relationship with the deceased. A person’s personality, their family values, culture and religious beliefs can all impact how a person exeriences Grief. Loss can be in many areas of our lives such as divorce, separations, loss of employment, moving, retirement and disability
Grieving for a Pet
In my many years of individual and group therapy I have processed as many four legged beloveds as humans. I recognize that children and adults can build a strong attachment with a pet as if like a family member and may struggle with the loss of their beloved friend. In our society pets are sometimes not given the same support as family member who have died. However, pets sometime make us feel better then our family members. My goal is to help provide a safe environment for you to process your feeling around your pet so that each person may find his/her unique path through saying good bye.
Mother/Daughter Workshop
As woman our most important relationship is with our mothers or daughters. It will determine how we function in most of our adult relationships, along with impacting how one may parent their own children. These mother/daughter workshops are designed to go deeper improving communication and listening skills. We may use art therapy, a talking piece, homework between dyad between sessions or guided imagery to repair attachments altered in early childhood, adolesence or adulthood. If you would like a better relationship with your mother passed or still living lets talk about it!!
